Meet the Team That Walks With Your Family
At our school, we believe parents should never have to navigate their child’s educational journey alone. That’s why we have a dedicated family support team whose entire mission is to stand beside you, listen to you, and help you and your child thrive.
Ashley Thompson – YES Coordinator, Cleveland Campus
Ashley Thompson serves as our YES (Youth Empowerment and Support) Coordinator here at Cleveland, and she is a vital champion for both students and families. Her role is all about making sure your child feels seen, supported, and inspired—both in and out of the classroom. Ashley is also the point person for any questions regarding mental health support, therapy, and counseling services available at the school.
As YES Coordinator, Ashley:
- Partners closely with families to understand each child’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals.
- Helps connect students and parents to school resources, community programs, and enrichment opportunities.
- Supports students in building confidence, leadership skills, and positive relationships.
- Collaborates with teachers, counselors, and administrators to remove barriers to learning and create a safe, encouraging environment.
- Regularly checks in with families, making sure you always know what’s happening and feel comfortable reaching out with questions or concerns.
Ashley brings warmth, empathy, and a deep belief in every child’s potential. She understands that when families are supported, students flourish. Parents often describe her as a steady, encouraging presence—someone who listens carefully, advocates fiercely, and celebrates every win alongside you.
Whether your child is adjusting to a new grade level, facing a challenge, or stretching toward a big goal, Ashley is here to help your family say “YES” to what’s possible at Cleveland.
Sandra Rivera – Dean of Engagement
As our Dean of Engagement, Sandra Rivera is focused on one big priority: building strong, meaningful connections between school, students, and families. She knows that when families are truly engaged, students feel more confident, more motivated, and more connected to their learning.
In her role, Sandra:
- Creates welcoming, inclusive spaces for parents to ask questions, share feedback, and feel heard.
- Leads family events, workshops, and communication efforts that keep you informed and involved in your child’s education.
- Works to ensure that every parent—no matter their background or schedule—has real opportunities to participate and contribute.
- Partners with Ashley and the rest of the team to make sure families know how to access support, resources, and important information.
- Helps build a positive school culture where students feel proud of who they are and where they come from.
Sandra is passionate about making school feel like a community, not just a building. She is committed to partnering with you, not just talking at you. Her approach is warm, open, and encouraging—she wants every parent to feel that they belong here and that their voice matters.
Together, Ashley Thompson and Sandra Rivera form a powerful support system for our Cleveland families. They are here to answer questions, cheer your child on, and walk alongside you through every step of the school year.
If you’re a parent or caregiver, we want you to know: you are not alone. Our team is here to support, encourage, and empower your family every day.
